bad things…..come in 3s

You know that old saying that bad things always happen in 3’s?  Well I’m a perfect example of that.  The following comedy of errors happened in the 1 hour time-frame after I woke up this morning.

This is what I call:    I should have stayed in bed today.

 1: no hot water in the shower due to hot water hog I call ‘the man’.

(backstory: the man has digestive issues whereby depending on what he has eaten the night before, he will more than likely need to spend ‘extra’ time in the bathroom in the morning.  This morning’s fiasco can likely be attributed to the cheapass store brand craptastic meat lasagna that he bought for dinner last night.  Too much time in the bathroom = the man late getting into the shower = me rushing into the shower too soon after him = no time for the hot water tank to replenish = me, no shower this morning.  super.)

2: missing one mitten.

(wouldn’t be so bad if there weren’t 5 – that’s right, i said 5 – snow storms coming to town over the next 7 days promising lots of show shoveling ahead.  Should be fun with only 1 mitten — not)

3: finally in the car and on the way to work, get something in my eye, forget that I am wearing makeup and rub my eye to get the itch out, rub off half the makeup on my left eye.  currently sitting at my desk with no eye makeup on.
