The weekend was fairly uneventful. The man worked on Saturday so I spent the day doing laundry, unpacking and playing guitar hero (I know, what a charmed life I lead, right?). Sunday went to see The Other Boleyn Girl which was pretty good, but they seemed to have left whole chunks of the story out in order to stay in their 2 hour time limit. Costumes were beautiful though. And the movie was filmed with very close up shots that showed how dark and gloomy the world was then, not all bright and expansive like in Elizabeth: The Golden Age which I saw not too long ago. Still, a good film. I’d recommend it to anyone interested in Henry VIII and his wives.

Today, the man stayed home from work. He slipped on some ice yesterday and decided that his knee, which he hurt, was too sore for him to go to work today. He also said that he’ll get paid for this sick day off. All I can say is that he’d better or we’re going to fall even further behind in paying our bills this month. Of course I’m at work today, much as I’d rather be at home, and what does he do? He calls me to tell me that the internet isn’t working. Like I can do anything about that from here.
