So my trip to the fertiladoc’s office went ok. Got another ultrasound done, fastest one yet, 15 minutes tops for both a regular scan and of course, a vagiwand experience. Then they took blood. The tech said there were 12 vials but I’m pretty sure I counted 13.
Then I spoke with one of the Dr.s who gave me the lowdown*.
1. Start with a round of Provera
2. Day one of my period I call in to book a sonohystogram
3. Day 3 of my period I go in for Day 3 blood test
Meanwhile…
2 days from now I’ll be getting my MRI.
My next RE appointment is scheduled for July 31 at which point they’ll look at all of the results of all of the tests to determine next steps.
And the man has to go in for blood tests as well as donate for a sperm analysis. That’s going to be complicated because the SA clinic is only open from 10am to 1pm during the week and, of course, he’s supposed to be at work at those times. It’s going to be tough for him to get the time off work to get these done but I know he knows how important this is so I won’t start bugging him about it until about a week before my next RE appointment.
So one more month to go. It’s like waiting-deja-vu.
At least I’m on Provera so I have my period to look forward to. good times.
*The doctor actually wanted me to wait until August to see if my period would come on it’s own, but when I told her that I’ve been temping and using opk’s since the m/c and haven’t had any sign of ovulating (that’s 11 months for those of you keeping track) and thus, no chance of a pregnancy, she said I could start with the Provera this weekend, which I did today, as long as the result of my beta showed that I’m not pregnant, which it did. Hcg level was 0.12. Any lower and I’d be a guy. Seriously.

it’s a good start! and plus, you can tell me all about your sonohysterogram so when i have mine in august i’ll be prepared! hehe!
